We hope that all our sun worshipping guests and their owners have been enjoying the warmer weather.

We do appreciate though that not everyone copes well in the heat so we want to reassure you about the steps that we take to ensure that all our guests are comfortable however hot it is.

The roofing in our pens is made of a special material that ensures that the bedroom areas stay cool in the summer months. This means that your cat has the choice of chilling out in the cool bedroom area or alternatively basking in the sunshine in the play area. In fact last year in the 40 degrees heat the bedroom areas were so cool we were taking shelter in there with our guests.

There is access to water all the time and bowls are topped up as and when necessary during the day. The pens have a range of shady hidey spots for our guests to retreat into and we also provide cooling mats, damp towels and fans.

We monitor all our guests regularly across the day but even more often during the hot weather so that steps can be taken for any cats in our care showing even the slightest signs of heat distress.

Our aim, as always, is to make sure our guests are happy, contented and relaxed!
